Speech & Language
Patholigists: Meghan and Jamie
Speech and Language services are provided for students who present with difficulty in speech, language and communication skills that impact their academic success in the classroom environment. As Speech and Language Pathologists we service students with many different disorders and difficulties such as: receptive and expressive language delays, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and processing difficulties. The speech therapists also provide services to students identified as “At Risk” by the school’s Academic Intervention Team as needing extra support with speech and language skills.
At Midtown West, Speech and Language therapy is provided both in the classroom and in the speech room. The speech therapists collaborate extensively with classroom teachers to ensure that material addressed during speech sessions is aligned with classroom content.
